Obituary

Charles L. Wyatt Sr., affectionately known as "Cookie", was born on November 23, 1946, in Baltimore, MD, to the late Marion and Fleming Wyatt. Charles was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. He was called home on Sunday, August 10, 2025, after a hard battle with Papillary Thyroid Cancer. Coen through the pain, he never once complained (he was one tough cookie!). Charles received jesus as his Lord and Savior and served as a Deacon at the church he attended.

Cookie was a jack of all trades and held many jobs (his main job was being a player and getting money!). He was a family man and was extremely protective of his family! He'd go through great lengths to be there whenever he was called. He had stories for days! He was sure to have a story from "back in his day" every time he saw you. One thing you could guarantee was Cookie would be sharp as a tack from head to toe, laced in the finest gold jewelry, driving the flyest car, and all the honeys flocked to him...and let's not forget about his infamous eyebrow raise. He was for sure the slickest 06 in these Baltimore streets!

Cookie was well known throughout the city, an avid Pool player, and could beat you at Checkers and Chess with his eyes closed. He was also a music lover, with frankie Lymon's "Why Do Fools Fall in Love" being one of his favorites - honorable mention: "Juicy Fruit" by Mtume was his jam! Cookie was great at training dogs; many throughout the neighborhood would call on him to get the job done. He was so good that he had the hogs trained to babysit. Cookie was the most spoiled of his eleven siblings and was known to never get beatings the way the rest of the troop did. He was the youngest of the boys, but carried himself as if he were the big brother.

Cookie was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Fleming Sr. He leaves to mourn his eldest daughter, Charlene C. Wyatt, who stood by his side through the duration of his ups and downs from Day One and never left his side! He also leaves three sons, Keith, Efrem, and Charles, as well as two daughters, Marie and Shannon. Cookie had two dedicated granddaughters, Joi and D'ara, who took care of him from the day he came home, literally up until his last day, along with his great-granddaughiers, Jaylen (Werewolf) and Rileigh, and great-grandson, Xavier (Big Boii). Two surviving sisters, Cynthia (preceded in death by Jerry) and Dot, who stood the test of time for "Big Brother" just as siblings do. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Margaret (wife of the late Butchie, Cookie's brother) and Audrey (wife of the late Bill, Cookie's brother); and by brothers-in-law Leroy (husband of the late Moria, Cookie's sister), John (husband of the late flint (Gwen), Cookie's sister) and Melvin (husband of the late Renee, Cookie's sister). He also leaves behind a very dedicated Aunt, Annie, whose love for her beloved nephew never wavered. He was preceded in death by siblings Dorothy Mae, Fleming jr., and Jessie. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
