Christina Young, age seventy-seven, was called home at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland on Thursday, Sept6ember 13, 2012 at 1:30 a.m. due to a lenghty illness. She was born on February 3, 1935 in Hackensack, New Jersey and graduated from Central High School. Christina retired as a health care provider in Patterson, New Jersey. Her last place of residence was Baltimore, Maryland, however Patterson, New Jersey is where she called home. She was preceded in death by her parents. Gertrude Rosa Ella Lee and Gerald Henry Young; four sisters, Jeanette Cheatus, Irene Gonzalez, Adelaide Smith and Gertrude Gillespie; two brothers, Charles Young Sr., and Garald Young; four children, Michael A. Young, Yvonne Young, Cassandra Young and Yolanda Young. She is survived by two sisters, Katie Elizabeth Smith Edward and Brenda Moore; one daughter-in-law, Latonya Young; twelve grandsons, Calvin Pearce, Rahime Young Lekesha, Travis Rogers Arlene, Corey Jones Jhiree, Michael Young, Jr., Seneca Rogers, Nemeiah White, Kaheem Young Charell, Kawon Young, Najee Raymond, Kyree Taylor and Tyron Taylor; twelve granddaughters, Nikki Jones, Nakeema Young, Alia Washington, Niya Young, Kia Hayes, Lisa Raymond, Tasha Hayes, Soriel Hayes, Tanasia Taylor, Ivori Rogers, Sideah Young, and Tamara Coleman; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host6 of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Christina will forever be known as a caring mother, loving grandmother, devoted aunt and close friends to whom you could confide in. Most of all she will be remembered for her uncanny wisdom and her blunt honesty.
