Obituary

Christopher Robin Collins, Jr. son of Christopher Collins Sr. and Angela
Carroll was born in Baltimore, Maryland on June 14, 1991. He departed this
life on June 21, 2016.

At an early age Chris accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and. Savior. He
received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. He
attained his High School diploma from Mergenthaler Vocational Technical
Senior High School where he honed in on his passion for football. He
continued his passions at Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa, Califor-
nia. Where he gained an Associate in Arts Degree in Social and Behavioral
Sciences. Then did a short stint at Northern Michigan College in Michigan.
Finally, enrolling in Morgan State University where he earned a Bachelors of
Sociology Degree on May 21, 2016.

Chris was very goal-driven, passionate, and highly motivated despite any
obstacle put in his path. The Morgan community knew him as a bright young
man whose future was full of promise. One Sociology faculty member spoke
saying, "Chris was absolutely one of our brightest stars, one of the hardest
working members of the class of 2016."

Chris was a true angel on earth he spread joy and happiness to everyone he
encountered.

Chris goal to help people was truly exemplified throughout his life. Through
many examples like his job working with the mentally challenged, volunteer-
ing at a call center to assist women victims in violence, and volunteering at
an elementary school helping with young children.

In February 2013 Chris met the love of his life Syetta. They shared many
memorable moments such as zip lining through the forests of Puerto, Rico.
Some of their favorite things to do were Horseback riding, concerts, shopping
and just being home and enjoying each other's company.

Chris loved spending time with family and friends. He was affectionately
known as Slick to his friends and Yummy to his family. He loved "shining"
with his friends, traveling, shopping, and spending quality time.

He was a loving, caring person devoted to his mother, loyal to his father,
family, friends, and the love of his life always thinking of others first. To
know him was to love him. He had an infectious smile that could light up any
room and make everyone smile.
