Christopher C. Keels, Sr. was born on February 14, 1956 to
Agnes. R. Brown-Keels and Robert A. Keels in Williamsburg
County, South Carolina.
He departed this life on October 8, 2018.
Christopher, affectionately known as CC, received his education
from Williamsburg County, South Carolina and Baltimore, Maryland
Public School Systems. He later obtained his certification as a Master
in Cement Finishing.
CC retired from P. Flanigan & Sons after a successful career in
commercial construction. He took great pride in his work and
loved every minute of it. He would often point out the many
buildings and bridges that he helped to construct throughout his
career.
Among other things, CC loved to cook, had a great sense of humor
and his doors were always open to family and friends in need. CC
also took pride in his appearance. He loved to wear hats, suits and
dress shoes and you could never catch him wearing blue jeans.
Most importantly, CC cherished and loved his family.
Also preceding him in death: his daughter, Leah L. Keels; mother;
Agnes R. Brown-Keels; father, Robert A. Keels; brothers, Julius Keels
and Jake Keels; sisters, Sophonia Washington and Alberstine Washington.
He leaves to cherish in his memory: his children, Gregory D. Keels,
Tiffaney N. Keels, Christina L. Capel, Christopher C. Keels, Jr.,
Tiffany N. Griffin, Rosetta Keels, Wendell E. Keels and
Angelica E. Cooper; thirty- three grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; his sisters, Ellen Risher,
Wendell Green, Carolyn Huell, Yvonnia Joyner, Orthella Joseph,
Brenda Keels-Graham and Evon Brown; brother, Jake Keels; five
brothers-in-law; two aunts, Merdeith (Mert) and Ophelia (Bay) and
a host of nieces, nephews,other relatives and dear friends.
