Obituary

A Time To Be Born
Love is stronger than death, even thou it can't stop death from happening it can't take away your memories of our precious Clara Mae Gaddy, who was born May 1, 1924 in Boardman, North Carolina. 1n addition to her husband, Matthew Gadd y, her parents, Tom and Emma Hemingway Wooten and two sisters, Doretha W. Thompson and Della Mae Hayes preceded her in death .

A Time To Service
At a early age Clara was converted and joined A.M . E. Church in Boardman , North Carolina and remained a member until the church dissolved. Then she moved to Fairmont , North Carolina, where she attended St . John A . M . E. Church. Then later in - life, she decided to move to Baltimore, Maryland where she joined, Whitestone Baptist Church until God called her home .

A Time To Live
She loved serving God, her Almighty. She always was about God's business. She often visited the elderly at the hospital and at home. She served on the Auxiliary Board, and Usher Board and was a faithful missionary . She served under Pastor Warren Sr. and now Pastor Warren Jr. Surely the work did not go in vain .

Clara had numbers of jobs. She worked at University of Maryland of Baltimore Campus for 42 years, there she was awarded with two outstanding awards, until she retired in 1992.

She attended Columbus County Public School .

A Time To Die
On October 17,2015 Clara left this earthly plain and took up residence in her heavenly home. Loving family members she leaves to cherish: her precious three nephews, one was like a son to her, he loved her and took good care of her as if she was his mother, Bobby Wooten( Irene) from Baltimore, MD, Albert Hayes (Betty) from Miami , Flo r ida, and Joshua Hayesfrom Poughkeepsie , New York; two nieces, Lenora Daniels (James) and Christine Ha y es Harrison all from Poughkeepsie, New York ; nin e great nieces, twent y nine grandchildren including Sherman Williamson , Bernadette W ooten , and Dorthy Wooten; ten great great grandchildren; and her lo v el y g odd a u g ht e r , Betty Pitman and a host of cousins, relatives and two good f r iends , Ruth G a i th e r and Ada Epps.
