IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Clarence E.
Blanks
August 15, 1953 – August 29, 2019
Clarence Ezekiel Blanks Sr. was born to the late Ezekiel Spalding
Blanks and the late Sarah Cooper Blanks on August 15, 1953 in
Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life suddenly and
unexpectedly on Thursday August 29, 2019.
Clarence accepted the Lord as his savoir at a young age and was
baptized at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Clarence received his education in the Baltimore City Public School
System. He graduated in 1971 as the class President of Dunbar High
School. He continued his education spending 2 years at St Mary's
College before transferring to Coppin State College where he
graduated in 1977 with a BA in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.
In 1977, Clarence became a Science teacher for the Baltimore City
Public School System. In 1984, he began his career with the Baltimore
City Health Department where he remained until his retirement in
2007.
In 1984 Clarence met Cecelia Amos whom he later married. They
lived life to the fullest and made friends everywhere they went. They
were the life of the party. He enjoyed traveling and especially going
on cruises. They were known to host numerous family events, as
family was very important to them. Every chance he had he loved to
get on the grill as he was the self-proclaimed "Grill Master". You
could catch him finding twigs and tree branches instead of charcoal
because he claimed the food cooked better. He loved his football and
his Baltimore Ravens! Clarence loved taking fishing trips with friends
and family. He loved visiting the casinos, dancing, and singing
Karaoke. If you never heard his rendition of Clarence Carter you don't
know what you missed. Clarence loved cutting up and acting a fool
with everyone. To know him was truly to love him.
Clarence was preceded in death by his sister, Dr. Phyllis
Blanks Douglas and brother, Donald "Butch" Blanks.
Clarence leaves to celebrate his life: His wife Cecelia Amos
Blanks; 3 Daughters; Ani Washington (Terrence), Tamika
Haynes (Anthony), and Candace Blanks. 5 Sons; Clarence
