Clarence Andrew "Butch" Cole, Sr. was born on December
14, 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Robert A. Cole and
Blondine C. Cole. He departed this life on November 25,2015.
He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School
System and attended Merganthaler Vocational Technical High
School.
Later on he went to Baltimore School for the Arts where he
became a commercial artist. He became employed as a
commercial designer where he designed newspaper ads. He was
recognized by Governor Tawes and presented an award in 1965
for his commercial art work.
He joined the Army in 1966 and served his country during the
Vietnam War. When he returned home he married Patricia Harris
and had two children from that union, Lisa Cole and Clarence
Andrew Cole, Jr.
He loved playing football, and was a quarterback at Mervo. He
was affectionately called the by nickname Cody. He enjoyed
playing football with anybody. He was the star football player of
the neighborhood.
Clarence was a proud member of the "Arch Social Club" for
many years.
Clarence Andrew Cole, Sr. was preceded by his brother Robert
W. Cole. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Patricia
Cole; his daughter, Lisa Cole; his son, Clarence Cole, Jr.; his
daughter in-law, Clarissa Cole; his grandchildren, Ava Carroll,
Jaden Rhodes, Clarisse Cole, and Clarence Cole III; three sisters,
Ozora (Phyllis) Campbell, Mary Cole, and Alice Smallwood; a
