Clarence Richard White III, "Ricky" to all of us who knew and loved him, was bon on January 10, 1949 in Baltimore, Maryland. The son of Clarence R. White, Jr., and Jessie F. White, he entered eternal rest on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Northwest Hospital in Baltimore. He was baptized at an early age at the New Metropolitan Baptist Church by the late Rev. Lawyer L. Swinson, Pastor. Ricky attended public schools in Baltimore where he graduated from Polytechnic Institute in 1967. He studied engineering at Morgan State University and the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Service in the U.S. Army from February 1969 to February 1971 resulted in his honorable discharge as a Spec 4 draftsman. He was employed by the Social Security Administration from June, 1981 until September 2006. Ricky's marriage to Patricia Mills produced one son, Matthehew R. White, born in June of 1980. Ricky wasa quiet man who always had a witty remark on the tip of his tongue. He was avid comic book readr who also loved music and science fiction. He leaves to mourn his ex-wife, son Matthew, three sisters, Grace Watts, Sandra Gordon and JoAnn White and his aunt Elsie. Ethel Young, his oldest sister predeceased him. He also leaves six nieces, Leslie, Jerri, Stacey, Whitney, Sydie, and Jalea, a friend who was like a brother, George Miller along with one nephew, Christopher, twelve great-nephews and one great-niece,. a host of relatives and friends will mourn Rickey.
