Conrad James Countesswas born on February 21, 1956, to CharlesA.CountessSr.and Hazel M. Countess in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Baltimore City PublicSchools and later took courses at Coppin State University and Howard Community College. Growing up in Edmondson Village, Conrad attended RehobothApostolicChurch at an early age with his family and enjoyed boxing and lifting weights withhisfriends.
When Conrad was in his twenties, he became disabled. He was severely injured in a car accident, which limited his mobility; however, he remained active. Conrad devel- oped a love for writing and went on to publish two scientific books on topics suchasrest mass energy and quantum gravity.Hewas also working on a book prior to hisdeath. Conrad was a poet and a scholar who loved reading, thinking about the uni- verse, and communicating with scientists around the world. At Howard Community
College, he earned a spot on the Dean's list twice. Conrad had a brilliant mind.
Conrad also loved people and they loved him. With his outgoing personality and kind temperament, he was always willing to help others whenever he could. He cherishedhis mother, children, and grandchildren dearly.
OnJuly25, 2020,Conrad passed away.He ispreceded in death by his father, Charles CountessSr.,stepfather, Primus Jones, grandmother, Ruth Cox Swift, aunt, Ella Long, and son, Martez Countess.
Heleaves to mourn his mother, Hazel Countess Jones, his son, Corey Countess, his daughter, BathshebaR.Dixon, his grandchildren, Sha'Naya Gwynn, Dayonna Tunstall,Aaliyah Dixon, Edward Dixon, Angela Dixon, Raynell Hosein, Lazarus Hosein, Abuya Dixon, and Jaylen McKoy; his siblings, Charles Countess, Felita Countess, Daniel Jones, Primett Jones Evans, Margaret Jones, Lloyd Jones, Primus JonesJr.,Randy Mason, andStanley Mason;aswellasa host of extended family and friends. A special thanks to Aunt Ada Joyner, who loved and prayed for him daily.
Conrad will be missed by many.
