Obituary

Constance Hazel McDaniel was born in Columbia, South Carolina, the first of seven children born to the late Choice and Mary McDaniel. Constance entered into eternal rest on December 2, 2017 in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.

She attended the public schools of Baltimore, and moved to Rochester, New York as a young adult. She lived in Rochester for a few years, returning to Baltimore in 1966. Constance was employed as a laundry attendant at St. Joseph's Hospital for a number of years. However, her greatest labor of love was serving as a loving and nurturing in-home caregiver for her mother for many years.

Constance was a faithful member of Central Church of Christ, and was baptized July 13, 1997. Her faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was strong, and she enjoyed the bible studies and programs she attended.

Constance was an avid reader all of her life. When not reading, she enjoyed watching westerns, and listening to country music. In her youth, Constance was known for having a "spitfire" personality! She was also known for her love of the color red, a passionate color that matched her personality. However, time softens the ways of our youth, and Constance evolved into a gentle spirit who faithfully worshipped the Lord, and doted upon her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Constance was predeceased by her sister, Delores McDaniel (2017) and her brother, Melvin McDaniel (2007).

She leaves to cherish her life a loving daughter, Deirdre (affectionately known as Dee Dee); three grandchildren: Brian, LaTonya, and Sean; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Blondell and Marsha (Allen); two broth- ers, Charles (Jewel) and Lawrence; nephews Rickey, Otis, Kevin, Curtis, Melvin Jr., Allen Jr., and Christopher; nieces Pamela, Linda, Tiffany, Sher- ron, and Quiana. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
