Cornelia Elizabeth Mims, Born March 24th, 1947. Daughter of the late Marie Ruby Jones, and the late, James Spencer.
Cornelia Started her education in grade school at St. Francis Xavier then proceeding to middle school at The St. Katherines School and finally graduating high school from St. James Business School all located in Baltimore, MD. Cornelia worked at various jobs around the metropolitan area to finally retire from Spring Grove State Mental Hospital. She was a fun loving person who took very good care of all her patients. Mom loved to dance, socialize with friends and family, and listen to her Oldies but Goodies. She was introduced to Thomas Mims in the summer of 1968 by a mutual friend named Clifton. After dating for a while they decided to take their vows before god and family on December, 15th 1973. Out of that Marriage a son was born, named Daria Dante Mims, Cornelia and Thomas Raised Daria behind his siblings that came from Thomas's previous marriage. There were 4 girls and a 1 boy that also mourn Cornelia passing. Cornelia loved children so much she also assisted raising a number of nieces and nephews who just needed some extra love and attention. Cornelia leaves 1 sister behind to celebrate her life named Teresa Shinaberry. She also leaves behind a devoted and loved lifetime friend, named John "buddy" Walker. 2 sons Thomas Mims Jr. and Dario Mims, 4 Daughters Romain Stewart, Sharon Mims, Roxanne Prioleau, and Veronica Mims, There are also a long list of loved Niece's, Nephews, Cousins, Aunt's, Friends, and lots more that celebrate her life. Cornelia ascended into her heavenly father's arms on the morning of April 24th where she was greeted by her husband Thomas Mims, Brother's Lamont &Reno Smith, and Willie Jones, Her Sister Cecelia Jones, a niece Chiffon Nichols and a Beloved Daughter in-law Latoya Ashlock.
