Crystal Edmonds was born on May 20, 1984. She departed this life suddenly on September 16, 2016, but her loving, humorous character and smile will forever be with us.
She was born Anthony Edmonds, Jr. and her beautiful transforming journey to Crystal was a joy. She was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland and received her education in the Baltimore City Public Schools System. Crystal was enrolled at Baltimore City Community College studying the Culinary Arts and Cosmetology.
Crystal was quiet, fun, loving, and charismatic young woman. She loved fashion. She was known for her makeup artistry and fabulous style. Crystal as often the voice of empowerment and endurance for others, especially others transgender women. She devoted much of her time to raising awareness of transgender issues.
Crystal genuinely loved her family and friends. Her special relationship with her Gotti family members and Girls United have created lifelong bonds. Her quick and witty responses, great sense of humor, and resiliency made her a joy to know and love.
She leaves to mourn her mothers, Lenora Leftwitch and Vermeil Williams, father, Anthony Edmonds Sr.;sisters Davina Turner, Teairra Edmonds, Kim Saran Fossett, Trinae Washington; brother, Troy Edwards (Teresa Edwards); grandfather, Walter Edmonds; nieces, Trinity Edwards, Niama Robinson, Nile Fossett; nephew Karnari Edmonds, Hashim Favorite, Shakir Brown, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends, all of whom she loved dearly; A special cousin affectionately known as Aunt Vanessa (La' Asia) whom she lived with, and her extended families with the Gotti House and Girls United. Crystal was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
