On November 29, 1956 Curtis Witherspoon was born to the late Jethro and

Shirley Witherspoon in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on

February 5, 2020 after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his sister,

Angela Terry and brother, Deacon Jeffrey Witherspoon.

Curtis received his education in the Baltimore Public School Systems. He

graduated from Joseph C. Briscoe High School in 1975. He received a

scholarship for basketball, where he played at Bay College.

Curtis spent the last few years as a dedicated longshoreman at the Port of

Baltimore.

He leaves to cherish his memory: brothers, Anthony, Clarence and Jethro

Jr.; one sister, Brenda Terry; even though Curtis never had children he

shared that love with his nephews, Antwon, Donte and Myron and nieces,

Miayana, Lakeisha and Tiara; sister-in-law, Mary Witherspoon; special

friend, Gladys Pringle and a host of aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
