Daniel Horace Brock, was born on May 30, 1949 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Lacy and Christine Brock. He departed this life after a lengthy illness on May 28, 2014. Daniel, also affectionately known as Donnie or Dan was educated in the Baltimore City School System. He graduated from Baltimore City College in 1967. Donnie enlisted in the Untied States Marine Corp in 1969. He fought in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. While in the service he received several medals. He accepted Christ at an early age. In 2010 he joined New Christian Memorial Church where he served as a bus driver. He picked up mem- bers for the early service and enjoyed fellowship with the riders. Dan enjoyed cooking and talking to everyone. He was well known for his delicious Pineapple-upside-cake. In his spare time he enjoyed "hacking". Donnie loved his family and was a hard worker. He was a dedicated husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He held a number of different jobs during his lifetime. His most re- cent job was at Whiting & Turner where he worked for over 20 years, from which he retired. Preceding him in death are his siblings, Hilda and James and step- son, John. Donnie leaves to mourn: his wife, Lolita; daughter, Tammy (Larry); granddaughter, Gaynell; stepdaughters, Cierra, Kiera, and Tierra; stepson, Nelson; brothers, Lacy Jr., (Barbara), Cornell (Mary), and Dwayne (Teresa); mother-in-law, Betty; grandmother, Virgina; nieces, Diane, Ernestine, Christine, and Regina; nephews, Brian, Steve and Torey; one aunt, Sarah Haynes (Clarence) and a host of other family members and friends.
