Bush Sr.
January 23, 1940 – November 5, 2024
Daniel W Bush Sr, was bom on January 23, 1940 in Baltimore MD the youngest of eight children bom to Laurence Bush and Pearl Bailey-Bush. A kind and caring man, Daniel always had time for people, no matter what was going on in his day. He would welcome you in, put the coffee on just sit, talk and listen. Whether it was a quick chat or an all-day meet up, you always felt loved after spending time with Daniel.
Daniel was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. Dan was employed with the same company for well over forty years (PEMCO International), although they went through several name changes, he remained a vital part of his department. Daniel became a father in 1959, giving him his namesake: Daniel Jr. Over the next four years he became a father to two more children: David and Diane.
In 1981, Daniel met Lilly (Neat) and out of this union they had two children, Sheena and Cartraina. They were formally married in 1996.
Daniel had a great sense of humor and loved to tell a joke or two, even if they were corny jokes. He enjoyed watching college football, The Orioles and his Western movies. He was always the soul of the party, he and Lilly (Neat) enjoyed hosting many parties and BBQ's for their family and friends.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Laurence Sr, his mother, Pearl, his son, Daniel Jr, his daughter ,Diane, his sisters, Effie, Eloise and Sylvia, his brothers, Laurence Jr, Guilford and Bernard and granddaughter Carren. Daniel is survived by his wife Lilly, his children David, Sheena and Cartraina, his grandchildren, Danielle, Shannice, Christian, Carrell, Quimere and Quamarr, great grandchildren, Imya, Derayl, Aladdin and Aria and one great-great grandson Zakai. his sister Inez Thompson, brother-in-law: Roy Hendrix, sister-in laws- Ardella Bush, Vermelle Williams, Helena Smith & Yolanda Hawkins, and one daughter-in-law, Ebbly Bush. A large amount of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Although he shared a special bond with all of his nephews and nieces you could always find Melvin Pettiford, Bob Harvin, Clifford Brown (Sach), Darlene Thompson Javaar Lyles and Payton Norris visiting him. Two devoted friends, Robert Manigo and Terry Hunter. He will be greatly missed by all of us who had the pleasure of knowing him and the love he shared will continue to live on in our memories forever.
