IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Daniel F.
Fussell
February 4, 1950 – March 28, 2017
Daniel Franklin Fussell, son of Carvella Fussell and the late Robert Fussell, Sr., was born February 4, 1950. After a lengthy illness, he departed this life on March 28, 2017. His brother Robert Jr., and sister Leslie preceded him in death.
Daniel affectionately known as "Danny" received his formal education in the Baltimore City Public School System. He graduated from Douglas Senior High School and started his career at Western Electric Corporation as an Electrician. Danny was drafted into the United States Army where he served as a Field Radio Mechanic. During his tour of duty, he received the National Defense Service, Vietnam Service, Vietnam Campaign and the Army Commendation Medals. After returning to the States he re-enlisted as an Army Reservist and was honorably discharged.
Danny had a kind protective spirit, yet quiet, humble and sometimes comical. As a young adult, he took his role as a son and brother seriously. Danny didn't play when it came to his Mom and sisters. He was the man of the house and everyone that came through that door knew it.
He loved playing the lottery and his scratch offs, now that and a good meal made him happy. His hobbies included roller skating, hand dancing, playing music and swimming. Danny took pride in his appearance, always wearing the latest fashions. He was one of the smoothest, best dressed gentlemen in the neighborhood. Danny dated Rosalie Grant for many years and they were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Monica.
