IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Daniel Lewis
Myles Jr.
January 19, 1959 – October 28, 2025
Daniel Lewis Myles, Jr. , was born on January 19, 1959, to the late Daniel Lewis Myles, Sr. and Louise Evelyn Myles. He entered into rest on October 28, 2025.
Daniel (affectionally called Danny) was raised in the African American Conclave of Turner Station in Baltimore County, Maryland. He acquired many friends during his childhood and was well known. Danny was educated in the Baltimore County Public School system and graduated from Dundalk Senior High School in 1978.
After graduating high school, Danny ventured off to Goochland, Virginia, where many of his family members lived. He had a special bond with his paternal grandfather as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He worked various jobs in Virginia, and it was there that his two children were born, Latoya Myles and Daniel Lewis Myles, III.
When Danny returned to Maryland, he worked in hospital settings for over twenty-five years. During the last fifteen years, Danny worked at Medstar Harbor Hospital. He held the critical position of keeping the hospital in a sanitized condition. Just prior to his passing, Danny worked part-time at Honor and Cherish Assisted Living Facility as an Assisted Living Aide.
Danny loved people and was famous for calling them on their birthday. Danny also enjoyed the ball games, especially football. He loved volunteering at a food pantry in Turner Station.
Danny accepted Christ at an earlier age. He was never far from a church and participated in bible study, prayer lines and was quick to offer prayers at any time for any reason. Danny always praised God and was not ashamed to profess his love for Jesus Christ. On September 12, 2021, he became a Deacon. He was so humble about becoming a Deacon and was eager to serve. Upon his passing, Deacon Myles was a member of Refuge Way of the Cross Church. Deacon Myles indicated that he was very happy with becoming a member and spoke highly of Bishop Barnett. He especially loved Sunday School and the breakfast that was served!
