Obituary

Dante Jamal Watson, son of June Watson, departed this life at John Hopkins Hospital on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at 10:11 P.M. Dante's demise was sudden and unexpected. Dante attended public schools in Baltimore City and Eagan, Minnesota. He graduated from Randallstown High School and completed two years at Morgan State University. Dante lived with his maternal grandparents until age six and then moved to Eagan, Minnesota to live with his Aunt Michele and Uncle Sam Wright. During his brief time with us, Dante held several jobs. His last job was at Obrycki's Restaurant at BWI Airport. Dante was creative and talented. He was a gifted musician who expressed his creativity through the tenor sax, electric guitar and also bass drum that was self taught. He played tenor sax in his school orchestras, the electric guitar in the school jazz band and bass drum in Randallstown High School and Morgan State University's Marching Bands. Dante was a kindhearted, generous, and loving person. He was sensitive and considerate of others. He had a unique sense of humor that would throw you off guard when conversing with him. He enjoyed fine dining and loved eating out with his family. Dante leaves to cherish his memory; his mother, June Watson; adopted parents, aunt and uncle, Sam and Michele Wright; maternal grandparents, Isaac and Delores Watson; two brothers, Samuel Daemian Wright and Eric Alston; one sister, Jamila Wright; two special cousins, Michael and Chaneara Watson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
