Darius Purnell Perkins known as "Dirtll was born on December 141 19831
at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland to late the
William Brian Perkins Sr. and Sophia McMurray.

Dirt attended Baltimore City Public Schools and completed his education
at Fredrick Douglas High School. He worked for Baltimore City Depart-
ment of Recreation and Parks.

32 ... was the number of years we had to celebrate and share time and
space with the amazing soul of Darius Purnell Perkins "Dirt. A son, a
father, a brother, a nephew, a cousin, a beloved sweetheart to the love of
his life/ a friend and an all around good person he was. Whether you called
him Darius or Dirt/ if he crossed your path/ you were guaranteed to smile
and see him with his two boys.

As a child Dirt liked to explore and get into things. He was always getting
himself dirty hence the name Dirt. Dirt had a love for animals and would
make pets out of any animal he could find. From/ creating pigeon coops as
a child to recently owning two ducks. He also loved music/ enjoyed rapping
and making his own original music.

Family members who preceded Darius in death; father/ William Perkins/
grandmother Beatrice/ grandfather Charles Sr./ many aunts/ uncles and
cousins who he truly loved dearly.

On Saturday/ August 13/ 2016/ we truly lost an amazing man. The
emptiness we now feel can only be filled with the endless happy memories
he created while he was with us. No words can express how much he will
be missed by so many.

He leaves to celebrate his life and carry out his legacy/ mother, Sophia;
stepfather/Cedric; grandmother, Cynthia; great-grandmother/ Lilian; two
sons, Darius and Daylin; the love of his life of 14 years Tieisha; four
sisters/ She lda, Vanessa/ Kadesha and Danesha; three brothers/ Wayne/
William and Devin; mother in-law/ Yvette; two sister in-laws/ Anitra and
Tabrae; a favorite cousin/ Danita; nieces/ Aniya/ Jada, his heart Nasia/
Tanaja/ Kymiya/ Marquita/ Kayla and Kimora; four nephews/ Marcus/
Marquis/ Rhjay and Kayden; special friends/ Ronald and B/ and a host of
aunts/ Uncles / cousins/ and friends.
