IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Darlene K.
Armstead
December 20, 1959 – September 3, 2020
Darlene Karen Armstead, daughter o f the late William Armstead and LaRue Armstead Banks was born on December 20, 1959 in Baltimore, MD. She departed this life suddenly on September 3, 2020.
Darlene affectionately known as Darl or Nana received her formal educationinthe Baltimore City Public School System.
Darlene was a devoted mother, grandmother, surrogate mother/grandmother, neighbor and friend. She was a good friend till the end and there was nothing she would not do for you, well she needed a pack of cigarettes anda"couple of dollars", just a couple that's all. Darl loved being a grandmother if nothing else. She loved to take Chase and Jabari to the Inner Harbor to eat strawberry shortcake. That love extended outtoher favorite white girl Ebony and her children.
Darl made friends wherever she went. With new friends came new kids to baby sit. Just when you needed it most and least expected you would be in touch with this great warm woman who cared about you. She was alwaysatrue friend and devoted family woman. She enjoyed cooking and serving at family gatherings and other events. She cleaned like crazy you would come home, and places would be cleaned that you didn't know existed. She did not like any help she would always say ''you take too long doing stuff, you willjust be in my way".
The loving devotion she had for her daughter and grandkids created such a strong bond that no one could ever imagine. Darl we will keep your memory in our way of the living like you showed us. Thank you for everything and so much more.
