IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Darlene T.
Giles
November 26, 1952 – June 26, 2019
When the body of our earthly dwelling lies in death, we gain an
everlasting dwelling place in heaven. Death is not an ending but the
new beginning of a new life, which God has prepared for us, thus our
beloved Darlene Teresa Giles began this new life on June 26, 2019.
DARLENE TERESA GILES, was bam November 26,1952
in Baltimore Maryland. The sixth child of the late Dorothy Means
and Daniel Giles.
She was a graduate of the Baltimore City Public School
System. After finishing high school Darlene went on to work in
numerous industries from hospitality to transportation fields. In her
later working career, she became a caregiver working for herself.
Darlene accepted Jesus as her lord and savior. She was saved
at a young age where she and the family worshiped at the United
House of Prayer. She worshipped at the Koinonia Baptist Church in
her later years and the members held a special meeting making her a
full member of the Church. She was a very faithful member who
attended when she could although her health issues prevented her
from attending on a regular basis. Her love of gospel music was
exceptional her favorite gospel song was "Open my Heart" by
Yolanda Adams. She enjoyed serving and worshipping the lord.
She was an avid reader and had great love for board games.
She read the bible daily and often was heard quoting bible verses.
She loved taking bus trips and going to see her family in Georgia.
She had many friends that have become her extended family
especially her Georgia family. They shared many joys and sorrows
together.
