Darlene Rooks-Simmons daughter of Mildred Rooks and the late Alvin Rooks Sr; born April 21, 1960, affectionately known as "Doll" was called home on March 12, 2009, to be with the Lord. She received her education through Baltimore City Public Schools . Doll was employed at Omnicare, Inc. until her illness. Doll was a "People Person". She was known as the "Event Planner" for family and friends. Doll was an avid interior decorator, always a fashionable dresser, willing to help anyone and a second Mom to many children. Darlene was a courageous and remakable woman. The way she lived her life spoke volumes about the person she was. She leaves to mourn, her loving husband, Michael Simmons, daughter, Duwonda Carter, son, Maurice Carter, three stepchildren; Shennika Simmons, Marcus Simmons, Michael Simmons Jr; niece/daughter, Tierra Rooks, granddaughter, London Johnson, grandson, Darius Simmons, mother, Mildred Rooks, mother-in-law, Arlethea Simmons, sisters; Patricia Evans, Alvina Faulks, brothers; Alvin, Jr; Eric, Darnell, Kennith, MacAllister and Derek Rooks, brother-in-law; Don Evan, Sr. and Robert Simmons, sister-in-law; Judy, Joyce, Mercedes Rooks and Doris Simmons, aunts; Ester Johnson, Dorothy Patterson and Naomi Patterson, uncles; Melvin Patterson Sr. and Cleveland Rooks, nine nephews, six nieces, four great nieces, four great nephews, six great nieces, devoted friend Tracey Drake, adoptrd sister Lil'Pat and a host of other relatives and friends.
