Darryl Maurice Taylor Sr., lovingly known to his grand kids as, "Pop Pop" was the son of the late Maurice Taylor and the late Betty Taylor. Born on September 21, 1961 in Baltimore, Maryland. Darryl very peacefully departed this life to join our heavenly Father on August 4, 2015 with his loved ones at his side. Darryl grew up in West Baltimore with his loving family. He attended the Baltimore City Public School System, and during this time met Diana Baldwin, the mother of his beautiful children. He then went on to start a career working for the State of Maryland. After working many years at the State office Building, he retired. Darryl loved to do lots of things, especially cooking. His skill in preparing food was like an art. A few of his favorite dishes were: his mom's crab soup, potato salad, and crab cakes. His pasta dishes were really great along with his pig's feet, greens, 15 bean soup, and liver and onions. Darryl was a great dancer and he enjoyed going out and having fun with family and friends. He loved playing cards at his brother's Terry's house with his kids and friends, and he loved music. He enjoyed listening to music from the late 60's, 70's, and 80's. One of his favorite songs were "Ain't No Stopping Us Now." But the best part of life for Darryl, was his grandchildren. He adored them and they made him feel truly blessed. Darryl leaves to mourn, as well as celebrate his life: two daughters, Dawnica Taylor and Danielle Taylor; two sons, Darryl Taylor Jr., and Darren Taylor; one daughter-in-law, Becky Taylor; six grandchildren, Destinee, Dajah, Makaia, Deshae, Mariah, and Darby; his loving partner, Carl Davis; two brothers, Brett Taylor and Mark Taylor; two sisters-in- law, Dawnette Taylor and Tonya Taylor; one uncle, Robert Mack; three aunts, Mary Mack, Glenda Mack, and Aunt Gwen; two best friends, Mark Kenton Sr., and Lynn Henry, who passed a few years back and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
