Darryl Washington, son of the late Horrace Battle and Mary "Peggy" Washington-Graham, was born on May 15, 1953 in Mt. Olive, North Carolina. He departed this life on March 17, 2012 unexpectedly. He was educated in the North Carolina public school system. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army on October 22, 1971 and received an honorable discharge on October 21, 1973. Shortly thereafter he became employed at the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company and Baltimore Housing Authority. He then relocated to North Carolina for may years before returning to Baltimore, Maryland. He leaves to mourn; seven sisters, Terri L. Jackson of Philadelphia Pennsylvania, Sheila, Martricia and Tracy Graham, Erica Graham-Johnson, Ann and Kay Battle; five brothers, Dirk, Kirby, Bryan and Terriel Graham and Ronald Washington; two brothers-in-law, Cliffton Jackson and Ronald Johnson; two sisters-in-law, Caprina Graham and Barrie Graham; favorite cousins, Lynette Dorsey and Kathy Denise Washington; and a host of nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.
