DAVID KEVIN BALLARD SR., son of Margaret L. and Floyd C. Ballard Sr., was born on January 14, 1966 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on March 3, 2013. David made numerous friends wherever he went and will sincerely be missed by those who knew him. David loved children and he was always "on stage" for them. He leaves to cherish his memory: his parents, Margaret L. and Floyd C. Ballard Sr.; his devoted friend, LaTonya Edmond; three daughters, Keyona, Shaniqua and Caleah; one son, David Jr.; two granddaughters, Dayona and Braia; one grandson, Kyon; five sisters, Margaret, Linda, Michelle, Lisa Gerald, and Kim; two brothers, Floyd Jr. and Keith; two aunts, Martha Squirewell and Ruth Faulcon; three uncles, John Crockett, Eugene Nickens and Thomas Squirewell; and a host of other relatives, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. The following relatives preceded David in death: one brother, Michael Sr. and one sister, Ruth; two grandchildren, King and Corday. "I'm Free" Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I'm following the path God laid for me I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found that peace at the close of day If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss; Ah yes, these things I too will miss Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow My life's been full, I savored much, good friends, good times, a loved one's touch Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, don't lengthen it now with undue grief Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free
