David L. Heckstall, Jr., son of the late Annie and David L. Heckstall, Sr., was born on March 7, 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life suddenly on April 12, 2011 at University Hospital. His parents and younger brother Melvin Heckstall preceded him in death. He was affectionately known as Sunny by all who knew him. He received his education through the Baltimore City Public School System. Sunny was a hard worker. He worked various jobs. His last job was as a head supervisor of the Maintence Department at Unversity Hospital, from which he retired. Sunny had many loves; music, dancing and watching old westerns, his favorite, Randolph Scott. He was very energetic and loved to read his Bible. Sunny accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He leaves to cherish his fond memory; two children, Damon and Twilah Heckstall; granddaughter, Saraiah Holly; two sisters, Blaintener Heckstall and Reva D. Wilson Jimmy; two brothers, Hadley Johnson, Sr. Sherry and Clarence Bryant Renee; three aunts, Ollor Gannon, Annie Williams and Justiner Walker; devoted loving friend, Louise Ebron and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
