David Lee Higgins, Sr., was born March 5, 1938 in Vance County,
North Carolina to the late Hubert Heggie and Louise (Town) Heggie.
He departed this life on Sunday, October 7,2018.

David attended Dunbar High School. He later became employed
at Harry T. Campbell Concrete Company in White March, Maryland
as a heavy machine operator for over 45 years. Subsequently, was
hired by Lafarge North America, Inc. as a consultant.

David enjoyed looking fashionable, fine cars, cooking, fishing
and golfing.

He was preceded in death by, three sons, David Higgins, Jr.,
Bernard Higgins and Antoine Higgins; two brothers, Roosevelt
Higgins and James Heggie.

He leaves to mourn: one daughter, Denice Higgins of Delaware;
one son, Dominique Higgins of Atlanta; one brother, William Heggie
better known as Elder Heggie; Baltimore, MD; seven grandchildren,
ten great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other
relatives and friends.
