On Wednesday, October 24, 2007, David Earl Johnson departed his earthly life after a short illness at the VA Hospital. David Earl Johnson was born to the late Clarence and Dorothy Mae Johnson. David graduated from Kenwood Senior High School. He served four years in the Marine Corps. He was employed at Bethlehem Steel for thirty years and was an auto mechanic who fixed trucks. He kept us laughing at times. He will be missed. He was baptized at the Pleasant Zion Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Elsie Salmond, Minister Elizabeth Evans, Ruth Johnson and brother, Irvin Johnson. He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Dante Johnson; grandson, Deonya Johnson; daughter-in-law, Rosalind Johnson; sister, Clara Johnson; brother,Clarence Johnson; three brothers-in-law, William Evans Sr., Boykin Salmond and Lawrence Johnson; sister-in-law, Dora Johnson; a special friend, trudina Groham; a special niece, Deneice Roeborough; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
