IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David L.
Martin
March 30, 1961 – June 23, 2019
David Louis Martin Jr. was born on March 30,1961 to the late Dorothy D. Smith and
David Louis Martin Sr. who preceded him in death. David departed this life on
Sunday, June 23,2019 after a short illness.
David was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system. He gave his life to
Christ at an early age.
David was a people person, to know him was to love. He always had a smile on his
face, and something to say to everyone (whether it was encouraging, Uplifting or
smart)
When David got tired of being tired, he joined the I Can We Can Program that was
ran by Rev. William Sewell and where he began his 11 years journey of sobriety.
During that time, he also became a member of Turke House where mentor and

David had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back and all he asks
for in return would be for something to eat.
David loved his Rock and Country music. He also loved to travel with his two bff
Stacey and Sue to Ocean City and the Casino while stopping at Golden Corral to grab
a bite to eat. He also enjoyed reading the Marvels Comic Books and watching
Charmed the tv show.
When David was not working hard at one of his many jobs (FYI The Baltimore
Arenajob was the one he loved the most being an Usher). He was out enjoying Dottie
the first car he was able to purchase from all his hard work.
David also loved spending time with family and friends. He was an active member
of the Kirby Lane Community Association. No matter what David did or what was
going thru he always keep God first and close to his heart.
David leave to cherish his memories two daughters, Latoya Johnson and Nichelle
Martin; one son, David Martin III; two sisters, Argena Smith and Antoinett Day; four
brothers, Wayne Smith, Gino Payne, Jeffrey Martin and Donald Smith, Cynthia
