December 15, 1951 – March 16, 2021
David William Taylor, the beloved son of the late John Solmon Taylor and the late Thelma Crawford Taylor, was born December 15, 1951 in Baltimore, Maryland. On March 16, 2021, David was suddenly and unexpectedly called home to be with the Lord.
As a youth David was quiet and laid-back most of the time, especially when you saw that Egg come in his jaw, he really was thinking.
David was educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools, he attended Douglass High School and later received his GED. He then ventured out and became a Merchant Seamen for the United States Coast Guard, after that David joined the United States Army, where he served two years, with an honorable discharge. David then transferred to serve as inactive duty with the National Coast Guard. Shortly after that he was employed at Savage Mills Construction Co. and Whiting Turner Co. as a foreman.
David enjoyed himself with his family and friends on special occasions and holidays, listening to music, cooking and eating was his specialty. David had various nicknames: such as "Mikey" because he loved to eat, "Fred the freeloader", you didn't have to throw food away, he would take care of it and "Truck", David hit the truck, fell down and got up and when home tore up.
In the early seventies David met and fell in love with Phyllis Hurley, out their union they were blessed with two children, Donte Lamont Taylor, Tyeece Chnika Taylor and a stepdaughter, Ronda Walker.
David accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior, under the leader ship of Dr. Rev. Eleanor G. Bryant at Agape Miracle Church. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
David leaves to cherish memories: two brothers, Cornelius and Mark; four sisters, Christine, Charlotte, Bernell and Delia; one brother-inlaw, Maurice Peters; one sister-in-law, Debra Taylor; one son, Donte L. Taylor; one daughter Tyeece C. Taylor; one step daughter, Ronda Walker; grandchildren, Alysha, David, Devon, Sidney, Terrell, Tavon, Rikera and Leon; great grandchildren, Shiloh and Asytn and a host of other relatives and friends.
