Davie Henry Johnson, son of Henry D. Johnson Jr. and the late Loretta Reynolds-Johnson, was born on July 20, 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed his earthly life on Monday, August 12, 2013 after a long illness. Davie (David) received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. He was raised in the Cherry Hill Community where he made lots of friends. Throughout his life he was an avid sports fan and versatile athlete. David had genuine star quality. He we fast, strong and played extremely well despite his relative medium build. He enjoyed playing both basketball and football. His favorite teams were the L.A. Lakers and the Baltimore Ravens. David enjoyed dancing and was exceptionally light on his feet. He had an abundance of hats that contributed to his unique style. David enjoyed his family and his lifetime childhood friends. He always kept everyone smiling and laughing. With a heavy heart, we will always remember David as the joker of the Johnson Family. David was a skilled laborer; worked many jobs throughout the years; some of his favorite roles included landscaping and working with the youths before ending his career as an employee for the City of Baltimore Sanitation Department. David is preceded in death by his mother (Loretta Reynolds-Johnson), brother (Dexter Johnson), sister (Denise Johnson-Janey), nephew (Michael Johnson also known as Gleek), and special friend Pamela Hosley. He leaves to cherish his memories: his father; Henry D. Johnson Jr., one devoted son; Delano Johnson, one daughter; Daven Green, four brothers; Derrick, Daniel, Demetrius and Kirk, three sisters; Diana, LaShawnn and Moeishia, one brother-n-law; Michael, three sister-n-laws; Celestine, Sharon and Jacquetta, eight grandchildren; Delano Jr., Deaijah, Deyontae, Jeremiah, Taja, Teon, Iziah and Teniyah, man's very own best friend; Rex (dog), childhood friends Tony King, Tyrone Hall, Ronald Bailey, Noland Johnson and JoJo Henikin and a host aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
