Dayon Clifton daughter of Leanna Clifton and the late Wallace Clifton was born on February 21, 1968 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on Saturday, May 9, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Dayon was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. She worked various jobs - Deaton Hospital, Caton Manor, Eldersbury Bakery and Baltimore City Public Schools until her illness. Cookie as she was affectingly known by everyone that knew her; was a very outspoken person. She would speak her mind to anyone, no matter the circumstance. Cookie loved her family and friends. She had a special way of giving her nieces and nephews nicknames such as: Black (James) Tink (Tykeisha), Moo-Moo Nigga (Samuel), Poodie (Sharod), Bopp (Qur'an), Namesake (Dre'on), Nanna (Kinara), Dynamite (Quan'Nayia), and Shink (Daejanae). Cookie enjoyed listening to music, crossword puzzles and watching childhood movies. She read poetry; spent quality time with her granddaughters and socializing at Lexington Market. She leaves to cherish her memories, her son: Deontay Parks; three daughters: Damarra Beverage, Shayona Davis, and Tre'arra Spratley; four granddaughters: Siyah, Sijae, Sevyn, and Kylie. Her loving mother: Leanna Clifton; seven sisters: Gertha Mae Clifton (who precedes her in death), Sallie Jackson, Randy Clifton (who precedes her in death), Geraldine Clifton, Michele Clifton (who precedes her in death), Dee Clifton, Lisa Clifton; two brothers: Wallace Clifton and Tyrone Clifton (both whom precedes her in death); Her fiancee: Michael Edmonds; four brother-in- laws; two goddaughters: Quiana Johnson and Amari Higgins; two godmothers: Francis Sims and Constance Brown; two god brothers: Johnny Simms and Ernest Simms; two aunts Marion Morgan and Loretta Jefferson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
