Deborah Ramona Alexander Dade, daughter of the late Clarence Alexander, Sr. and the Late Cleo Ricks Alexander was born on November 2, 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland. She transitioned to her heavenly home on December 7, 2016 after a brief illness.
Deborah began her formal education in the Baltimore City Public School System, graduating from Eastern High School. She matriculated at Mor- gan State University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in 1969. Showing further passion for education, she earned a Master's Degree in Microbiology from Howard University in 1972. Upon completion of her education from Howard University, she began her career as a Pharmaceu- tical Representative at Abbott Laboratories. In 2011, Deborah retired as a Neuroscience Medical Liaison with 39 years of dedicated service.
Deborah's positions with Abbott led her to reside in multiple locations including Illinois and Ohio. She sought to continue her spiritual growth and became a member of Greater Emmanuel Apostolic Church Temple in Cincinnati, Ohio under the leadership of Elder Lavelton 1. Daniel. She was an active member serving in many ministries, including the Scholar- ship Ministry and The Steward Board.
She was married to Michael Dade in July 1971. Although their marriage did not last, they remained friends.
Deborah developed numerous relationships wherever she went and these helped to fuel her lifelong affair with global travel. Even in her retirement years, Deborah could not slow down. She enjoyed using her management skills to volunteer at the Light of Life Foundation, a nonprofit organiza- tion that focused on Thyroid Cancer Awareness and Education.
Deborah was a lifelong advocate of a healthy life style and enjoyed instructing others on healthy eating habits in various workshops.
She enjoyed bonding with her family by hosting family get together's and attending family reunions with her brother, Clarence, "Alex" Jr. One of her favorite activities was cooking with her brother, Alex, and bonding with her nephew-god dog, Oakley. Deborah also enjoyed attending live musical performances and theatrical performances with her extended family and friends. During her collegiate career, Deborah pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
