Deborah Elaine Brightful (Debbie), daughter of James Emerson Sr. and

Geneva Whitaker, was born on January 13, 1956 in South Carolina. She

departed this life on July 3, 2019 after an unexpected illness.

She received her education in Baltimore City Public Schools, and Winns-

boro South Carolina Public School Systems.

Debbie made numerous friends wherever she went and will be sincerely

missed by everyone who knew her. She was always a true friend and truly

devoted to her family.

She leaves to mourn: her mother, Geneva Whitaker; her father, James

Emerson Sr.; one brother, James Emerson Jr.; four sisters, one daughter,

Deanna Curlee; one son, Edward L. Haskins Jr.; 13 grandchildren, one

great grand daughter and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives

and friends.
