IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deborah Denise
Langford
August 10, 1955 – August 5, 2021
Life Reflections
Deborah Denise "Debbie" Langford, daughter of Ella and the late Earl Langford, was born August 10, 1955 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland and departed this life peacefully Thursday, August 5, 2021.
Deborah was the oldest and the only girl upon her 4 bothers. She was tough. She would give you a good tongue lashing and explain the importance of structure and discipline and then take you out on a shopping spree afterwards. This earned her the nickname Warden.
Deborah received her education from Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Northwestern High School in 1973.
Debbie had her first child, Cheri Henry, in 1981. In 1983 she met the love of her life and longtime companion, Sherman Trusty. And from that union came her second child Sherman Trusty Jr.
She started her career as a Correctional Officer at Baltimore City Detention Center (BCDC) in 1988 and retired in 2012 after 24 years of services.
Debbie loved to shop. There wasn't a yard sale or good deal she was willing to pass up. She also loved spending time with her family and friends at cookouts, family dinners at her mothers house, amusement park trips, bowling, and talking on the phone with her mom. And best believe if she was riding with you she was riding shotgun.
Debbie was a loving companion and daughter, devoted mother and grandmother, caring sister, stern aunt, and a reliable friend.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Earl Langford.
Debbie's memory will be lovingly cherished by her companion of 38 years Sherman Trusty, Baltimore, MD, daughter Cheri Henry, son Sherman Trusty Jr. (Kristine). Grandchildren Jaden Washington, Myah Henry, Neah Henry, and Summer Newsome-Trusty, mother Ella Langford, brothers Earl, Gary (Deborah), Dwayne, and Keith Langford (Hollie). And a host of other loving family members and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Dear Nana,
I know we can't change what god wrote but all we can do is prepare to say goodbye sooner then we all expected. As much as it hurts there will never be a day when I won't think of you. You gave to us when we couldn't give to you, you were always there when we needed you and I appreciate you for that. I will never forget you. Your memory will forever live on through all of us.
Love,
Myah
For Nana
For everything she shared: the dreams, the laughter, the fails, the ups and downs, and all of her time and money. She never gave up.
You can shed tears that she is gone or you can hold your head up and smile that she lived and loved her best life.
You can close your eyes and pray everyday that she comes back or you can open your eyes as bright as they are and see all the blessings she has made and left for you.
As empty as everyone heart can be knowing you can't see her or hear her voice everyday. You should remember and cherish the moments and memories you had with her. And the gift of knowing her for years.
Knowing there are many who loves her dearly. Just know the memories you've made will last forever.
You can cry, close your eyes, turn your back or you can do what she wanted you to do. Dream on, smile, open your eyes to the world, love and go on. She will always be there even if she's not here.
Nana your love is a special love that will carry me on. We love you Nana!
Neah
I love you Nana!
