Deborah Jean Smith, daughter of Jean Smith and Samuel Ray Smith Sr., was born August 14, 1965 in Wilson, North Carolina. Heaven sent angels down and gave her wings on September 30. 2008 at 9:30 a.m., after she lost her battle to cancer. She was sweet and lovable to all she knew. She attended Baltimore City Public Schools growing up in a house located at 2519 McHenry Street. She was emploed with My Sister's Place Catholic Charities until health failed her. Deborah was a sweet mother, daughter, wife and wonderful loving sister and oldest child of three. On June 28, 1990, Deborah was joined in holy matrimony to Anthony Carl Sampson. We thank God for your forty-three years, one month, two weeks, one day, nine hours, thirty minutes and ten seconds here on this earth with us. You are a blessing to your sister Sandra and your brother Sam Jr., and to all who we grew up with on McHenry Street. Your memory and smile will never leave our hearts "Big Sis." She leaves to cherish memories of a well-spent life; her husband, Anthony Carl Sampson our brother-in-law and son-in-law for life; four children, Ronnie Jr., Stacia, Travis and Ciera; three grandchildren, Malik, Kareem and Travis Jr.; her one and only niece, Cassandra; great-niece, Aliyah; great-nephew, Antonio; mother, Jean Smith; father, Samuel Ray Smith Sr.; and brother, Samuel Ray Smith Jr.; aunts uncles, great aunts, great-uncles and a host of cousins and friends.
