Delano Dale Barnwell was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 13,

1954, to Mozella Barnwell Parks and the late Solomon Barnwell Jr. Dale

received his education in the Baltimore City Public School system and

graduated high school from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 1972 where he

studied drafting and architectural engineering. Dale was baptized at any

early age.

After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served in the

Navy for six years and was honorably discharged in 1978

During his career, he had several jobs that allowed him to utilize his drafting

and engineering skills. One of the jobs was working at BGE where he drafted

the maps for wiring throughout the city.

Dale married for the first time Connie Barnwell Peppard, in 1978, out of that

union their son, Shannon Dale Barnwell was born. In 1985, Dale met the

love of his life, Terrie Burrell.

In 1992, Dale's daughter Tarsha Renee' Barnwell was born. Dale and Terrie

got married via a destination wedding on the island of Jamaica on August 4,

2000, joined by a host of family and friends.

Dale was an avid Ravens fans. If you knew Dale, you could see him dancing

and having fun. He always was seen driving his purple Ravens mobile. To

describe Dale, he was like a prickly pear, hard to get to know on the outside

but mushy on the inside once you get to know him

Dale's hobbies consisted of watching action movies, bowling, fishing.

building, and doing things with his hands, grilling, watching Anime,

collecting swords and knives.

On Monday, April 18, 2022, while at Veterans Hospital, Dale moved to his

eternal home. To celebrate his life and to mourn his loss he leaves a devoted

wife, Terrie Barnwell, devoted son and daughter, Shannon Barnwell (Nicky

Barnwell) and 'Tarsha Barnwell, a loving mother, Mozella Barnwell Parks,

three brothers, Angelo Barnwell, Marcello Parks, and Verno Parks, one

grandson, Kingston Dale Barnwell, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and

other family members.
