Delores Eleanor Carter Jackson, daughter of the late Walter and Olivia Carter, was born on August 8, 1929 in Baltimore, Maryland. Delores went home to be with the Lord on September 22, 2011. Delores received her early education in the Baltimore City Public School System. She married Richard Jackson, Jr. and from this union seven children were born; Mae, Christine, Richard, Earl and Joyce Pricy and Ronald whom preceded her in Death. Delores went back to continue her education at age thirty-five. She attended Catonsville Community College and Community College of Baltimore studying Pharmacy. She then went to work at Key Circle Hospice as a Medicine aide. She worked there for twenty-two years until she retired in 1991. Delores joined Pentecost Baptist Church and gave her life to Christ. She served on the Usher Board, Women's Ministry, and Senior Choir #2 and in later years The Voices Choir. She loved her church and took great pleasure in later years just being there. She leaves to cherish her memory; her children, Mae Emmons, Christine Conway, Richard Jackson, Earl Jackson and Joyce Logan; two sons-in-law, Timothy Emmons, Sr., and Clarence Logan; daughter-in-law, Karen Jackson; grandchildren, Shavonne, Van, Kevin, Selina, Princia, Kareem, Jasmin and Erica Timothy Jr. preceded her in death; great-grandchildren, Adaira, Adroinna, Vantria, Sariel, Taylor, Deyona, Alicia Mae, and Chris, sister, Minister Maxine Miles Bosworth Zelda Franklin preceded her in death; brother Melvin Carter Gerard Carter and Raymond Carter preceded her in death; sister-in-law Gloria Carter; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
