Obituary

On Monday, January 17, 2011 Delores Elizabeth Green-Smith was called from Labor to reward at 6:00 pm from Harbour Hospital after a lengthy illness. Delores was affectionately call "Ba Sis" by her friends and family. She was the second oldest child of John Winfield Green and Margaret Green. Ba Sis was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. As a young adult she landed several jobs with several local social establishments. She worked for Hutzler's Department Store and the Post Office. Ba Sis later answered a higher calling to serve the priests of the St. Veronica's Parish as a cook. Her last job was her most loved position, that of a Au Pair for the Chrzan family. She loved "her girls" Brookie and Allison and their parents Robert and Gail. Ba sis loved dancing to good music, watching old movies, spending time with her family; she especially loved watching her nieces and nephews; Shawie, Argnie, Lil Gary, Keith and Great-Grandson Anthony Webster Jr. Bas Sis leaves to mourn; four sisters, Bertha Gross Pretty, Margaret Purdie lil Margaret Gloria Swett The Good Glo, and Beverly Johnson; one brother Walter Moore Tinsey. Milton Nelson Green Bobby, her brother preceeds her in death. She leaves two children; Diana McMillian and Theodore Jackson Teddy, one step-son Andre Smith Duke, and one son-in-law, Bob McMillian. Earl Ball Smith Sr., her husband proceeds her in death. Ba Sis also leaves to mourn her death six grandchildren; Earl Ball Smith, III, Stacy Jackson, Terri Smith, Toni Webster, Keith Smith and Dwayne Manning and one grandson, Terrance Smith who precedes her in death. She leaves four brothers-in-law; Herbert Gross Sr., Jerome Purdie Sr., Harold Swett, Sr., and Tyrone Johnson; two sisters-in-law; Lorraine Moore and Evelyn Janey. Ba Sis also leaves a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Two grandson-in-law, Anthony Webster Sr., and Zavier Jackson, Dr., Mattie butler and Carrie Alexander were her two devoted friends.
