Delores C. Woods, daughter of the lat John and Josphine Woods. was born on May 22, 1931 in baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life peacefully on the Saturday afternoon of November 1. 2008, after a lengthy illness. She received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. She held many job positions throughout her life, however she enjoyed her many years of working for Maryland Sweetheart Cup Company. Delores was loved by everyone who came in contact with her and through that love she obtained different aliases,. In her early years around Gilmor she was known as the frozen cup lady. To her friends and neighbors she was Ms. Sissy, to her children and family she was Saa, and to the grandchildren she was called "Grandmother." Although, Ms. Sissy had many opportunities to move out of Gilmor Homes, she would refuse because if you knew anything about Ms. Sissy you knew how much she loved an action-packed scenery of just sitting on her porch in her chair and watching all the excitement that was going on, Well let's face it she loved to signify. We won't call her nosy, but she would always know what was going on in the neighborhood. It wasn't until her health began to fail that finally caused her to move. She leaves to cherish her memory; her two sons, Morris Wilson and Kevin Woods; daughter-in-law, Ernestine Wilson; sister Frances Micky Wyche; twelve grandchildred, Dawn, Tiffany, Latina, Kimberly, Guy, Damien, Clifton Lil Bill, Tony, Anthony, Jerome, Donte' and one grandson who was more like her son, Troy smith; fifteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives who will extremely miss her.
