Obituary

Mete" as he was affectionately known to his family and friends was a quiet calm spirit who without a doubt was always there for his family. For a long time it was just him, his mother and sister, which made him the man of the house because, he would do anything for them.

If you knew him at all, he was loved by many and respected by all. His friends became his brothers because once you

were in his presence you did not see him as anything other than family. His smile could light up a room and his laugh was contagious. His mother raised him and his sister Dominique to always be there for one another. One thing for sure, if you saw one you definitely saw the other. They were close, and have

a bond that no one could ever come in between. They looked out for their mother no matter what. Those two were something else together. They argued, they fought, they laughed, they cried and

they hung out. Even though he was the youngest, he was the oldest as far as he was concerned and no one argued that except Dominique.

Then his opportunity came to be the big brother he always wanted to be when Jordan came along. He babysat, changed pampers and fed her. She was up under him every chance she got because that was her Metrius. Dominique then came along and made him an uncle. This was a role he took very seriously with Jaiden because now he had a mini him watching and mimicking everything he was doing. As far as Jay is concerned, he was the best uncle and role model any little boy could ask for.

"Mete" was a loving, caring and honorable young man who made his mother exceptionally proud. After graduating high school, he began working, which gave him the independency he liked. He worked diligently at his job, which gave his work family a newfound appreciation and love for him.

"Mete" leaves to cherish his memories: his loving mother Andrea and father Jimmy; grandfather Wilbert; sisters - Dominique and Jordan; brothers - Darius, Daquantae and Little JJ ; nephew Jaiden; very special

Aunt Donnice; girlfriend Mariah; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
