Damontrae Kishawn Hickman was born on May 13, 2007, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Katia Taylor and Richard Short. He Departed this life on February 14, 2025. Damontrae had many nicknames, Montrae, Trae, Lil Baby (before the rapper was relevant) but he was affectionately known to many as "Trizzy."

Trizzy received his education within the Baltimore City Public School System, where he attended Ashburton Elementary, KIPP Academy, Carver Vocational- Technical and Frederick Douglass High School. An active young man, he enjoyed playing football, riding dirt bikes, and immersing himself in video games on his PS5, often spending hours playing with his cousin, Kiari. Trizzy had the most beautiful smile and an infectious personality. Throughout his life, Trizzy was known for his energy and ability to connect with those around him. To know him was to love him—he had a unique ability to leave a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. He was deeply loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Trizzy was a devoted son, a caring brother and a loyal friend, whose presence will be sorely missed.

Above all, Trizzy held his family close to his heart, most of all his "little bro," Rich. He also loved hanging out with his cousin, Tink, and his friends Joe and Seven. Trizzy often reached out to his cousin, Ling Ling, and godbrother, Dontrell, to hang out with them.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Karen Matthews; grandfather, Lee Matthews; two uncles, Shawn Matthews and Paul Taylor; one aunt, Renee Jones. Trizzy is survived by his loving mother, Katia Taylor; his father, Richard Short; his brothers, Dahmon, Richard, Jaden, and Harlem; his sisters, Amoni and Harlem; his grandfather, Wortham Hall III; his grandmother, Ronnie Jones; a host of aunts and uncles; and a multitude of family and friends.

Although Trizzy's time with us was far too short, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His impact was profound, and his legacy will be cherished forever.
