Suddenly on March 30, 2018, Denice Michelle Ringgold
went on her heavenly journey. She was called "Nunu" all her
life. Our youngest brother, George, called her New New
when he first saw her and all of her family and friends have
called her "Nunu" ever since.

Denice was the youngest child of the late Eugene Alvin
Ringgold, Sr. and Delores Costello Burton Ringgold. She
was born on September 4, 1958.

"Nunu" received her education from the Baltimore City Pub-
lic Schools. She worked for a period of time with children in
the Baltimore City Public School System. She also worked in
housekeeping and babysitting. She loved children and she
was a strong disciplinarian.

Many sought her advice and she spoke her mind with love
and care.

Everyone knew she loved to clean. She would come visiting
and before you could say anything, she was inspecting the
premises. She was ready to wash clothes, dishes or clean the
stove or refrigerator.

Denice was a strong, caring and devoted mother, grandmoth-
er, great grandmother and sister who truly loved her family.

She enjoyed helping and feeding others. She got great plea-
sure watching family and friends enjoying her meals. She was
always ready for a good game of Pinochle and she played it
well. She will be truly missed.

By God's grace, she is now reunited with those who have
gone before: her two brothers, Eugene Alvin Ringgold, Jr.
and Ronald Dexter Ringgold.

She leaves to cherish her memories: three loving daughters,
Kenya Gross (Damon), Tia White and LaToya White; two
