IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Derle D.
Brooks
July 18, 1981 – June 8, 2019
Derle Brooks, beloved son of Latrece K. Brooks and Derle D. Allen made his entrance
into this world July 18, 1981 in Baltimore, Maryland. "Weez", as he was affectionately called by his family and friends,
was well known for his kind heart, warm smile, and contagious laughter. This beautiful soul departed his life on June
8,2019.
He received his education in the Baltimore Public School System. God, family, and friends were very important to
him. His love for God led him to church on Sundays and reading his devotional words daily. Weez's love for family
was something he cherished. He made it a point to form a special bond with his mother, father, each and every parental
figure, grandparent, sibling, aunt, uncle, cousin, niece, and nephew.
His favorite things to do was to spend time with loved ones, both family and friends alike, watching movies, sports,
and just enjoying life. Derle was a dedicated and hard-working employee for Crispy Bagel Company. His steadfast
commitment resulted in his promotion to supervisor. He was loved and well-respected from his colleagues.
Derle accepted Christ at a young age and attended Christ Spiritual Baptist Temple. Weez was one of the most positive
people you would ever want to meet. One would never know ifhe was having a bad day because of the smile he kept
on his face. He was very appreciative, humble, and thankful for the little things.
Derle leaves to cherish memories of him: parents, Latrece Brooks and Derle Allen, Grandmothers' Claudette Brooks
and Lorretta Jefferson, Grandfathers' William (Bill) Brooks II (preceded in death) and John Foster. Stepfathers Nelson
