Obituary

Derrick Jamison, lovingly known to his grandkids as "Pop Pop" was the son
of the late Alonzo Jamison and the late Wilhelmina Ann Tucker. He was born to
them on September 7, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland. Derrick departed this life to
join our heavenly father on January 27,2016.

He attended the Baltimore city public school system. After Derrick finished
high school he met his Wife of 31 years at the Baltimore Memorial Stadium on
April 10, 1982. It was love at first sight. From this union they had one daughter,
Ebony Iamison-Beckles. Before she was born Derrick decided to join the United
States Navy to better himself, provide for his family and serve his country. After
his term in the Navy, Derrick returned to Baltimore and continued his coreer
working with State and city government. He worked for the Maryland State
Lottery, The Police and Correctional Training Facility and last the Baltimore City
Housing Authority. Derrick retired early due to complications with diabetes.

For everyone who knew Derrick knew he was a sports fanatic. He carried
a sports page everywhere he traveled. Derrick knew something about every sport
you could think of but his favorite was Football. He was a die hard Ravens fan. He
watched ESPN Sports center first thing in the morning and the last thing at night.
The other love of his life was his five grand children. He adored them and that
pushed him to do a lot of things normally he wouldn't do just for them. Derrick
was one of a kind and lived life on his own terms. He was a good guy and will
truly be missed.

Derrick leaves to mourn, as well as celebrate his life: His Wife, Stephanie Jamison;
