Obituary

Destiny Monique Nelson, daughter of Ly trice Johnson- Nelson and Dennis Nelson Jr., born August 21,1339. She was suddenly summoned home on September 2, 2024.
Destiny was affectionately known as Woe, Missy Miss, Little Muffin and Little One. Destiny loved having a fun time. At an early age she enjoyed spending her weekends with her Marching Band Family, originally the Southside Steppers. Destiny attended Baltimore City Public Schools. She obtained her high school diploma from Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School. She also attended college to further her education at West Virginia University and BCCC.
Destiny was an independent hard working young woman. She held various jobs over the years. Most recently she was gainfully employed at the
University of Maryland. She was previously employed at Harris Teeter and Mercy Hospital.
Destiny was very smart, ambitious, loving, and outspoken. She was full of life and the life of the party. She loved spending time with family, eating, dancing, laughing and of course being Erky. Destiny will be greatly missed.
Preceding her in death, her Grandmother, Brenda Morris. Destiny leaves to cherish her fond memories: a devoted Mother and Father Ly trice Johnson- Nelson and Dennis Nelson, Sister Montinique Wiggins, Brother-in-law Elax Wiggins (Rollie), Grandmother Vannessa Johnson, Grandfathers Dennis Nelson Sr., Michael Fisher and Albert Gaters, one Aunt Takisha Platt (Gary), one Uncle Dwayne Fisher, two Nieces Elax Wiggins, and Aniya Wiggins, God Parents Twon and The Formans, one best Friend Jazmine Seignious, one special Friend Sage, a favorite Cousin in the whole wide world, and so many loving great aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
