Obituary

Dion Michael Roberts, was born on April 10,1989, in Baltimore, Maryland to parents Dion Roberts and Shelly Norman. Dion was affectionately known as "Lil Dion," "Lil Dee," or "Dee." Dion was a young entrepreneur in his own right. He was educated in the Baltimore City and the Baltimore County school systems. Dion received his high school diploma from Northwestern High School in Baltimore City and later attended Baltimore City Community College. He was an "exceptional child," as eloquently stated by his mother. Some of the fondest memories of him by many are inclusive of him playing and mastering video games at the age of two and reading his mother's college textbooks fluently by the age of five. "Lil Dee" had a passion for reading and was phenomenal in mathematics. Dion received numerous awards for his scholastic achievements. He was an avid listener of music and "rapping." Dion also loved recording tracks with his cousin Michael "Beezy" Byers for a hobby. Another past time was shopping. Dion loved to "stay fresh, always wearing the lastest gear." On any given day, he could be found wearing his favorite True Religion jeans. Dion loved his "Park Heights Family and Heritage." He loved his friends from Beehler Avenue! Throughout his life, "Lil Dee" touched the lives of many and made numerous friends. He was outgoing, outspoken, and true to himself. He was very charismatic with a calm demeanor. "Lil Dion" was always respectful to his elders. He was always willing to help his family and friends in any way he could. He was very close to his parents and always kept it "real" with them. He will certainly be missed by all - a true friend to many. Dion loved the Lord in his own way. He would come to church to be with his family whenever invited. "Lil Dion" would attend his family church, New Shiloh Baptist Church, when asked in advance. Preceeding him in death were two great grandfathers, Walter Mckinley and Mckinley David Roberts; two great grandmothers, Mary Ann Roberts and Albertha Mckinley; grandmother, Betty Mae Smith and two cousins, James Murphy III and Yolanda Roberts.
