Delores W. Beverly, daughter of the late Clarence and Mildred Williams, was born on December 4, 1936. She departed this life on January 15, 2017, after a long illness.

She attended the Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Dunbar High School. After graduation she immediately enlisted in the United States Navy. After 5 years of dedicated service as a Yeoman N3 (YN3) and serving as an assistant to the Chaplin, she was awarded an honorable discharge in 1959. In 1967, she married the love of her life, James H. Beverly Jr. who preceded her in death. They had two children, a daughter Priscilla and a son Michael.

After 30 years of service with the City of Baltimore Department of Public Works, as an Administrative Accountant, she retired. Her love of numbers and her detailed organizational skills continued in her heart until the very end.

Dee, as she was affectionately known, was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. She was loved by all who knew her. She left her footprints and every path she crossed. Dee loved traveling, reading, camping and talking on the phone.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted son, Michael Beverly (Jervetta); daughter, Priscilla Ledbetter (Robert); five grand- children, Katrina Melton, Keisha Spriggs (Terrence), Robert Ledbetter Jr. (Kenyona), Angelic Beverly (Rodney), and Leila; 17 great grandchil- dren; four sister-in-laws, Theresa Anderson (Bernard), Marion Ander- son (Herman), Mary Harper and Shirley Davis; daughter of the heart India Murray; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
