Donald Gillums, son of the late Earl Gillums and Dorothy Gregory was born on November 6, 1956 in Washington D.C. He was the third of four children. Don received his education through the Baltimore City Public School system. He graduated from Dunbar High School with honors. He worked for NSA for twenty years. Don was an entrepreneur, renaissance man, and leader. Among his many endeavors and achievements, he had his own moding troupe known as "The Le Diffence Models." He also owned three beauty salons. Don was involved in many physical activities, he held a black belt in karate and loved to dance. In fact, he won several local dance contest. Don was loved by many. He was known for his sharp tongue and wittiness. He loved his late dog Nick, to joke, and always had a story to tell. Even in a wheelchair, he had swag! Don Gillums leaves to cherish in his loving memory his wife Lavern Gullums, his daughters Sharita, Dawn, LaShay and TeNesha; one son Brian. Two sisters, Sharon and Darcella and a brother-in-law Howard Swell. Grandchildren; Jalen, Olivia, Avant, Zaria, Tabrain, Isaac, Noora, True, Tyler, Amare, Armani, Ashton, Aubrey, and Tryin.
