Harris
January 12, 1971 – May 17, 2018
Donyell Antonio Harris, son of Elbert S. Harris III and
Sharon A. McDonald was born on January 12, 1971 in
Baltimore, MD. He departed his precious life on May 17, 2018
after a sudden illness.
Donyell received his education in Baltimore City Public Schools
where he achieved his mechanics certificate from Mergenthaler
Vocational Technical High School and then advanced his education
towards his career at Lincoln Technical School to gain more
knowledge and professionalism in mastering as an auto
mechanic technician. He succeeded and received his ASE Certification
(Automotive Service of Excellence), he kept everyone running and on
the road working needlessly on vehicles.
He also worked as a Freight/Cargo supervisor at BWI cargo airlines
for years, unloading high volume sensitive medical equipment,
experimental animals and various types of construction equipment.
He had extensive experience in guiding landed airplanes in by the
Tug vehicle that was attached to the planes once landed. He really
enjoyed that part of the job. He hired family and friends and didn't
have any problem in terminatingthem at all, he always said they
weren't going to mess his position up because he has been there too
long, they will mess themselves up first.
He loved driving all types of vehicles especially with a stick shift.
Lastly,he worked with various towing companies in Baltimore City
and learnedthe tricks and trades of operating the flat bed and
snatch trucks professionally.
He later loss sight of his vision due to sickness that caused him
to stop working and settled for driving his personal pick up truck
that allowed him to make plenty of hustle money.
Donyell was a very humble quiet young man that never caused
any trouble and would help as many people as possible. He grew
closer to his mom Sharon when his illness started declining.
He depended on her trust for everything even when people
tried and took advantage of him when his eye sight was bad.
She stopped and tracked their steps quick and he would say get
them Ma and it was on,he really appreciated it. She stuck by him
to the very end. His famous words were Homeboy, Son-Son and
all NO. His nicknames were Fats, Horse, Doney and Tony.
During the time he lived in New Mexico all of his friends called him
Tony even while enrolled in football and boy scouts there, they
could never say his first name.
He will be truly missed and especially by our pets, he was always
sopatient with them.
He leaves to mourn behind him, his father Elbert Harris 3rd; mother,
Sharon McDonald; stepmom, Sharon Harris; grandmother,
Margaret Gaines; brother Elbert Harris IV, aka Sidney; sister,
Shamiera Harris; his one and only daughter, Mia Harris,; his
grandson,Joshua Carlos; stepbrother, Bryan McDonald;
stepsister, Shanell Gladney;a very special loving and close friend,
Tracie Barts; long time best friend, Kevin Bryant; including a host
of family, friends and co-workers.
